Fighting With West Chester Cops Results In Arrest of Philadelphia Man

A 36-year-old man was charged with assaulting police officers during a stop late Tuesday night, police said Wednesday.

WEST CHESTER, PA—A 36-year-old Philadelphia man remains free on $10,000 after being charged with fighting with police officers at midnight Tuesday at North Church and Gay streets.

Gregory Davis was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, institutional vandalism, and related charges.

Police said they were called to a report of an unconscious man in a vehicle just before midnight Tuesday.

During the investigation, Davis was detained in handcuffs and began physically fighting with officers. As a result, Davis was taken into custody.
