Possible Arson Under Investigation At Exton Station: Police
West Whiteland police are searching for suspects after a Monday fire spread from Amtrak tracks to a wooded area along the track.
WEST WHITELAND, PA —West Whiteland Township police are investigating a fire that broke out Monday on the Amtrak tracks at the Exton Train station.
Police said it’s possible that the fire was the result of arson.
“It’s possible an unknown person set the fire,” police said. “The person may have walked down to the train tracks from Exton Station or Mountain View.”

Firefighters were dispatched to a brush fire along the train tracks shortly after noon Monday.
The fire rapidly spread to trees along the track, extending out about 200 feet.

Police said they are searching for the owner of a notebook found in the fire with the name, Ganesh Krishna.
They said they do not believe the individual whose name was on the notebook is a suspect. They are looking for the owner of the notebook to assist in the investigation.
West Whiteland, First West Chester, Goshen, East Brandywine, and Lionville firefighters worked to stop the fire from spreading and to extinguish the blaze.
They were on the scene until just after 2 p.m.
Firefighters from Paoli and Ludwigs Corner manned the West Whiteland station during the incident.
