Hazmat Incident Cleared In West Goshen: Update

Emergency responders are at the scene of a hazmat incident at Metallurgical Products on the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

WEST GOSHEN, PA —A hazmat incident Thursday morning at Metallurgical Products Co., 810 Lincoln Ave., West Goshen Township, has been cleared, officials said.

A fire at the scene was under control by 9:17 a.m. and there is no health concern to the community, Dave March, West Chester public information officer, said.

March said the incident was contained to the inside of the business with the ventilation system working as designed.

"Emergency responders arrived quickly and isolated the incident to ensure the safety of the community," March said.

West Chester Fire Department, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute, and West Goshen Township police responded to the scene.

Metallurgical Products Co. manufactures copper base master alloys, phosphor nickel master alloys, and other specialty metals.
