Herrin Ahead Of Iacono In State Rep. Race For 156th District

WEST CHESTER, PA — The race to represent Pennsylvania's 156th House District ran close through the day, but afternoon counts show Dianne Herrin ahead of Len Iacona by 9 percentage points as the vote count continues in Chester County.

Herrin, who is mayor of West Chester Borough, had 55 percent of the counted vote, with 21,305 votes on Thursday.

Republican challenger Len Iacona had 45 percent of the counted vote this afternoon, garnering 17,305 votes.

Chester County's 380,388 registered voters cast 259,488 ballots on Nov. 3, according to the state's county elections page.

In-person votes tallied 161,935 in Chesco, and mail-in voting 97,553, according to an official Pennsylvania election reporting site, as of 1 p.m. Wednesday.
