Hit-And-Run Injury Motorcycle Crash In Southern Chesco Ends In Charges, Admission: Police
The driver of a truck who police allege fled an injury accident in Chester County turned himself in, according to police.
NEW GARDEN TOWNSHIP, PA — The driver of a truck who allegedly left an injured motorcyclist on Newark Road last month has turned himself in and has been charged, police said.
A hit-and-run accident in New Garden Township left a motorcycle rider with a badly injured leg as the driver of a truck took off, but the truck driver has now been charged, according to a police report.
Cayetano Perez Sr., 64, of Nottingham, is charged with accidents involving death or personal injury, accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, both third-degree felonies, and also with accidents involving damage to attended vehicle or property, and related summary traffic offenses, according to a police report.

On Sept. 26 around 4:35 p.m., a motorcyclist struck a vehicle pulling out from a driveway in the 900 block of Newark Road, in New Garden Township, according to Southern Chester County Regional Police.
The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries to his leg as the driver of the truck left the scene, the police report said. The victim helped identify the truck.

Police said video surveillance of the vehicle, provided by a resident, was distributed on social media. On Sept. 30, Perez Sr. came voluntarily to the police station and admitted to the accident during an interview, according to the police report.
A hearing is scheduled for Nov. 19, according to court records.
