Home Invasion Lands Philly Man A Guilty Verdict
Kareem Harper-El convicted in the Chester County Justice Center of robbery and related charges in a 2018 home invastion in Pennsbury.

WEST CHESTER, PA —A jury 39-year-old Philadelphia man was convicted in the Chester County Justice Center in the 2018 home invasion robbery of a 40-year-old man in the 500 block of Baltimore Pike, Pennsbury Township.
Kareem Harper-El, 39, was convicted by a jury of robbery, burglary, conspiracy, aggravated assault. He was taken to Chester County Prison to await sentencing.
Police said stole five firearms, $200 in cash, watches, an iPhone and car keys during the Aug. 18, 208 home invasion.

The victim suffered head injuries, but managed to escape out a bedroom window and call the police, officials said.
Philadelphia police arrested Harper-El on Aug. 10, during a traffic stop for a stolen vehicle, finding one of the stolen handguns in his possession.

A co-defendant, Renada Myers, was found guilty in Oct. 2021 of conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary, and related offenses.
Chester County District Attorney said the victim thought he was going to die at the hands of the defendant and his accomplice during this brutal assault in his own home.
"This unimaginable nightmare was premeditated and calculated by the defendant and his co-conspirators," District Attorney Deb Ryan said. "Chester County is safer with the defendant off the streets.”
