WEST CHESTER, PA— A 63-year-old Honey Brook man was sentenced Thursday to five to 10 years in state prison on charges of heroin and fentanyl in Lenape Way in West Brandywine Township.

James Murphy pleaded guilty before Chester County Judge Analisa Sondergaard in October to selling heroin and fentanyl on four occasions in Chester County.

Investigators said a search warrant was executed at the house on March 1, where additional heroin/fentanyl, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and cash were seized.

“If law enforcement can do that, imagine how many other people he was selling to and putting their lives at risk,” Barry said. “Stopping this drug dealer from peddling this poison took many hours of investigation and feet-on-the-ground work. We thank everyone for their hard work.”

Assistant District Attorney Jessica Acito prosecuted the case.
