Recognizing the profound role of educators, a core tenet in Hindu culture where teachers are revered as "Gurus" – mentors and guides – the Hindu Education Foundation organizes the annual Guru Vandana. This tradition beautifully complements Teacher Appreciation Week, observed in the first week of May, by allowing students to honor their teachers through time-honored rituals, seamlessly blending ancient cultural values with the modern educational experience.

The Guru Vandana began with the lighting of a traditional lamp, symbolizing auspiciousness and knowledge. Following this, students offered a vibrant display of their talents through performances including Dand (Traditional Stick Demonstration), Niyuddha (Indian Martial Art), Ghosh (Playing Traditional Musical Instruments), and various forms of dance.
In a deeply personal gesture, each student then performed "Guru Puja," a form of teacher worship. This involved applying a Tilak (a symbolic red mark on the forehead), offering words of thanks and reverence, and humbly seeking their teachers' blessings by touching their feet.
