Husband Killed Chester Co. Woman Missing For 8 Years: DA
Local mother Anna Maciejewska had not been seen since March 2017.

WEST CHESTER, PA — The husband of a Chester County woman who went missing more than eight years ago has been charged with her murder, the district attorney's office announced on Wednesday.
Allen Gould, 60, was taken into custody this week. His wife, Anna Maciejewska, who worked in West Chester and lived in Malvern, was originally declared missing in April 2017.
Maciejewska's body still has not been found, authorities said. Curiously, investigators did not specify what new evidence they uncovered that led to his arrest.

Gould pretended to be Maciejewska in various communications for weeks in an apparent attempt to cover up her disappearance, authorities said. It was not Gould who first reported her missing, but rather co-workers.
The investigation and search for Maciejewska drew headlines for months as authorities searched for clues. Her blue vehicle was eventually found on May 8, 2017 in the Charlestown Meadows overflow parking lot on Ashtree Drive, and state police searched her home on July 20.
Gould initially allowed the home to be searched, but then later blocked investigators from further access.
The investigation determined that Maciejewska was a dedicated mother and loving sister and daughter, and no reason could be found for her to go missing on her own. Moreover no preparations for her "disappearance" were made, and she simply abruptly stopped all communications and transactions on March 29, 2017.
That all dialed in suspicions on Gould, along with the discovery of divorce papers in the house, authorities said, contributing to his arrest.
Gould has been booked at Chester County Prison. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
