There is still time to plan to watch fireworks and parades Monday to celebrate Independence Day near West Chester.
WEST CHESTER, PA — After two years of COVID-related restrictions, cities and counties across the country are set to bring back the traditional July 4 festivities.
Parades, fireworks, carnivals and more are being planned in the West Chester area to celebrate the birth of our nation.

Easttown Township
- What: Independence Celebration at Historic Waynesboro.
- Where: 2049 Waynesborough Road, Paoli.
- When: noon to 3 p.m Sunday, June 3. Pennsylvania Society of Sons of Revolution will present a color guard.

Tredyffrin Township
- What: Tredyffrin Township 4th of July Celebration
- Where: Wilson Park, 500 Lee Road, Chesterbrook
- When: July 4, 7:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.

- What: Marple Newtown Fourth of July Parade
- Where: Starts at St. Albans Circle, end at the Broomall Fire House, 1 N. Mail Road, Broomall
- When: 10 a.m. Monday, July 4

- What: Upper Merion’s July 4 Celebration - A Carnival with food trucks
- When: 1 to 10 p.m. Monday, July 4. Live music at 6 p.m.
