Jury Convicts Coatesville Man In Stabbing

A 2018 bar stabbing ended in a guilty verdict for aggravated assault Thursday, by a Chester County jury.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A 2018 bar stabbing ended in a guilt verdict Thursday handed down by a Chester County jury.

On Sept. 2, after a three-day trial, a jury convicted Pablo Colon, 36, of Aggravated Assault, Possessing an Instrument of Crime and related offenses. The conviction stems from the stabbing of another man in the chest during an argument outside the Midway Bar in Coatesville in 2018, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office.

The victim suffered a punctured and collapsed lung, officials said.

Colon awaits sentencing in Chester County Prison.

The case was investigated by Cpl. Ken Michels of the Coatesville Police Department and prosecuted by ADA Myles Matteson and ADA Stefanie Friedman.
