Juvenile Charged In Bomb Scare At Kennett Square High School: Police
A 17-year-old Wilmington, DE teen was charged with calling in a threat on Nov. 13 to the Kennett High School.

KENNETT SQUARE — A 17-year-old Delaware teen has been charged with making terrorist threats in connection with a bomb scare on Nov. 3 at the Kennett High School, police said this week.
Police said the juvenile and his family members were interviewed by police and the juvenile admitted to making a threat.
The case will be handled in Chester County Juvenile Court.

Police said a bomb threat was phone into the school at 9:20 a.m., resulting in students being evacuated to a safe location.
Subsequently, the students were dismissed at noon to go buses parked in a safe area, police said.

According to police:
- No school threats are ever ignored and will always be investigated to the fullest extent.
- Kennett Square police departmebt was assisted by explosive detection K-9 units from the Chester and Montgomery county sheriffs' departments, Philadelphia transit police, and Lower Merion police.
- No explosives were found.
Kennett Square police thanked the administration and staff for the ongoing partnership and collaborative relationships in place to address incidents.
