Kayaks for Veterans at West Chester YMCA [Photos]
Training, kayaks and equipment are supplied at no cost to participants.

The Southeast Pennsylvania chapter of Team River Runner (TRR) launched their first kayaking event Sept. 15 at the West Chester YMCA to introduce wounded veterans to the sport in a supportive community environment.
The recently established chapter carries out the national TRR mission of providing health and healing for injured military, active duty and veterans, through therapeutic whitewater kayaking and other forms of adventure paddling. TRR is an independent national organization made up of local kayakers and canoeists - not affiliated with any government organization.

The program is physically demanding and socially supportive to help recovering veterans develop a lifestyle of fitness and outdoor adventure.
