Leaders Appointed At West Chester University
Four new leaders were appointed to head research, libraries, and colleges of Arts and Humanities and Honors.
WEST CHESTER, PA –West Chester University welcomes four new leaders to departments across the 388-acre campus at 700 S High St.
Cheryl Neale-McFall
- Position: As the associate provost for research and creative activities for the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, Neale-McFall will promote the vitality of research and scholarship, develop research growth and funding opportunities, and coordinate research partnerships with other universities, as well as state, federal, local, private, and international entities. She will focus on job satisfaction, supporting students and underserved populations, and women’s leadership in academia.
- Experience: As interim associate provost, the university’s funding award grew from $5.11 million (internal and external) to $10.96 million in external funding alone. Neale-McFall also has helped bring nearly $5 million in grant funding as a faculty member.
- Education: Ph.D. and master of science in education from Old Dominion University, a master’s degree from the University of Georgia, and a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University.
Jeanine Mingé
- Position: As associate dean of the College of Arts and Humanities, Mingé will assist in the operation, planning, and management of the College, including providing oversight and support through grant applications.
- Experience: With 16 years of administrative experience, Mingé most recently served as the associate provost for community engagement and impact and the executive director of the Office of the Arts at the University of North Carolina – Wilmington. Her research interests explore community activism through the arts, community-based performance, and health and wellness.
- Education: Ph.D. in communication studies from the University of South Florida, a master’s degree from San Diego State University, and a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University.
Jill Dixon
- Position: In her new position as dean of the university libraries, Dixon will be responsible for the administration of all library operations. She begins her new position on Aug. 7
- Experience: Dixon most recently served as the interim dean of libraries at Binghamton University in New York, where she spent 15 years of her career. Dixon has senior-level experience in library management and administration, research and instructional services, information literacy and public services, among others. Her career also included work with the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., and Special Olympics International.
- Education: A master of library science from Indiana University, and a bachelor of arts in international relations and history from the University of Delaware,
Timothy Jussaume
- Position: Jussaume will begin his position as the director of the Honors College on Aug. 28. He will be responsible for leading the faculty and staff, guiding the development of innovative curricula, and developing an environment that encourages intellectual exploration and academic excellence.
- Experience: Jussaume was the honors program director and associate professor of philosophy at St. Leo University in Saint Leo, Fla., where he fostered an environment of intellectual curiosity, and critical thinking, driving institutional performance while delivering student-centered programs student engagement, and experiential learning. He was also instrumental in modernizing the curriculum, advocating for increased financial incentives for students, and building a culture of excellence.
- Education: Jussaume holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Villanova University.
