Lincoln University Shooting Investigation Continues: Update

Chester County detectives and campus security are investigating a shooting in which two women were injured on Saturday at Spring Fling.

LOWER OXFORD, PA —The search continues for a suspect in the April 15 shooting of two visitors on Lincoln University’s campus who were struck by a bullet and injured during the university’s annual Yardfest event.

Both of the injured were treated at Christiana Hospital and released before 8:00 am Monday morning.

One bullet hit a woman in the thigh and then stuck a second woman in the ankle.

The victims have not been identified.

University and Chester County law enforcement are conducting an investigation and are working together to apprehend the shooter.

The campus has been deemed safe by our director of public safety and the lockdown notice has been lifted.

All campus activities will resume according to the schedule on Monday.

Lincoln University holds student safety and well-being as an essential part of student life, according to a statement provided by the university press office.
