Local Chef's Support Our Neighbors in Need

The 12th Annual Chef’s Best is being held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Goodwill Fire Co., 552 E. Union St., West Chester, PA. Event-goers will sample our contenders’ mouth-watering creations and then vote for their favorite dish. Tickets Available at https://www.actinfaithgwc.org/ Chef Tom Pizzica and his Philly Hots food truck will return to defend their title. His competitors will be Southbound BBQ Co. food truck and Parish Hall Kitchen, non-profit meal distribution and catering. Guests can also enjoy a variety of locally made desserts, California wines, and opportunities to support the organization.
All proceeds support ACT in Faith of Greater West Chester, an organization that seeks to empower un- and under-employed West Chester residents to stabilize their households and build toward sustainability. In 2024, 767 households received support - 1038 adults and 620 children - which include eviction and utility shut-off prevention, employment and transportation support services, and personal care and household items, and homemade heat-and-eat meals available to all shoppers at its Community Cupboard. Chef’s Best lead sponsor is Emergency Transfer Solutions, LLC. The event also has the generous support of Ann’s Pan, Booth's Corner Farmer’s Market, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Penn's Table and Yori’s Bakery, as well as several other local businesses. Tickets are $100.
