Man Allegedly Shoots at Cops in Chester County

Chester County authorities arrested a 32-year-old Coatesville man after he alleged shot at two uniformed police officers, according to a release from the County District Attorney’s Office.
According to reports from the police, two Coatesville police officers were on patrol at 1 a.m. Sunday morning when the observed a man looking into car windows on the street. When asked for ID, the man, a 32-year-old Coatesville resident allegedly pulled a gun from his pants and began firing at the two officers.
Police reportedly returned fire. The man was struck multiple times and was transported to Paoli Hospital, according to reports.

The Chester County Detectives interviewed the two officers involved in the shooting, all of the officers who responded to the scene, the emergency personnel, and citizens in the area of the shooting. The Chester County Detectives also collected all relevant evidence.
