Man Charged With Assaulting Police In West Chester

Suspects in Chester County were also arrested on charges of drunken driving and endangering the welfare of a child.

WEST CHESTER, PA —A 27-year-old Bridgeport man threatened and assaulted police officers, causing some injuries at the West Chester police department on Nov. 26, police said.

Demetrus Robbins was taken to the police station after officers responded to a fight at 1:10 a.m. in the 50 block of S. High St., West Chester.
Robbins is free on $15,000 bail awaiting a preliminary hearing on charges of aggravated assault of an officer and related offenses.

  • April R. Navarro, 44, of Coatesville, is free on nominal bail after being arrested by Parkesburg police on Nov. 24 at 12:23 a.m. on a charge of drunken driving in the unit block of East First Avenue in Parkesburg.
  • Joseph Mastrippolito, 63, of Coatesville was arrested on Nov. 29 on a charge of drunken driving after Kennett Square police found him intoxicated in his vehicle at 9:10 p.m. in the 100 block of West State Street.
  • Rosa Vazquez-Lopez, 25, of Kennett Square, is free on $10,000 bail awaiting a preliminary hearing on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and terroristic threats. Kennett Square police said Vazquez-Lopez was physically and emotionally abusive to a juvenile and an adult.
