Man Charged With Posting False Flyers In East Bradford Park: Police

West Chester police said a suspect provided fake information that a dangerous person was in Shaw's Bridge Park on Aug. 19.

WEST CHESTER, PA —West Chester police said they discovered flyers on Aug. 19 that were posted inside of East Bradford Township's Shaw's Bridge Park warning visitors about a dangerous person visiting the park.

When the police contacted East Bradford Township officials, police said they discovered that township officials had not posted any flyers and did not authorize anyone to post them on their behalf.

A subsequent investigation disclosed that the person who was accused of being a danger was not involved in any illegal or suspicious activity.

Police said an investigation revealed that Arjun Plakkat, 43, of West Chester posted the flyers after having a disagreement with the male that was depicted on the flyers.

Plakkat was arraigned on charges of forgery, impersonating a public servant and related offenses. He remains free on $10,000 bail.
