Man Showed Gun During West Chester Sports Bar Argument

Employees of Barnaby's in West Chester flagged down police Saturday after a man who'd displayed a gun inside the sports bar fled on foot.

WEST CHESTER, PA — Employees of Barnaby's sports bar in West Chester flagged down West Chester Police officers after a man with a gun ran out following an argument in the bar on Saturday night.

The bar staff told officers there had been an argument inside Barnaby's, on S. High Street in West Chester Borough around 11 p.m. Saturday. During the disturbance, the man showed a firearm, police reported.

The man then fled on foot northbound on High Street, the report said. Police said they found the man shortly.

Jacob Coleman, 25, of Glenn Mills, has been charged with Simple Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person, both second-degree misdemeanors, according to police. He is also charged with Harassment.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 6, according to court records.
