EAST BRADFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A man has been identified who allegedly walked out of Ace Hardware in East Bradford Township with an expensive piece of equipment.

Employees of the Ace Hardware store in East Bradford Township told police this week that a man left the store with a $600 Sthil auger in hand, without paying for it.

On Tuesday around 5:45 p.m. West Chester Borough Police arrived at Ace Hardware, 720 Strasburg Road, in East Bradford Township, to investigate the reported theft.

Ace employees reported a man exited the store carrying the gardening auger and had not paid for it. The male departed the scene in a silver minivan driven by a woman, police reported.

On Wednesday night West Chester Police posted on social media, "We have identified the person in reference to the theft at Ace Hardware. Thank You for your assistance!"
