Mariner East Pipeline Is Being Repaired In West Whiteland
A dent was discovered during a routine preventive maintenance, West Whiteland officials said in a statement.

WEST WHITELAND, PA — Crews are repairing a dent in the Mariner East pipeline that was discovered during routine preventive maintenance of the pipeline, near the Exton Station, officials said Friday.
The pipe will be wrapped in a clockspring, a composite repair sleeve, and a reinforcement system uniquely designed for high-pressure transmission pipelines.
Work is expected to be complete by Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission has been on site and verified that the activity is within normal pipeline maintenance and operations.
Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administrations have also been notified. Township Supervisor Brian Dunn and Township Manager Pam Gural-Bear visited the site and met with the Energy Transfer Integrity Team.

The Mariner East pipeline carries natural gas through Pennsylvania to a refinery in Marcus Hook, Delaware County.
