Mother's Day 2023: Dine Out With Mom In and Near West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PA — Don’t waste time making reservations if you plan to celebrate with Mom at her favorite local restaurant or surprise restaurant on Mother’s Day, which falls on Sunday, May 14 this year.

Restaurants are gearing up for Mother’s Day 2023 after a three-year slowdown during the pandemic.

The national COVID-19 emergency officially ended Thursday, just three days before Mother’s Day.

Here are some dining options in West Chester and beyond:

The Stone Barn: 100 Stone Barn, Kennett Square: 10 to 4 4 p.m. Mother's Day brunch. Breakfast, including omelet bar, prime ribs, leg of lamb, turkey, sides, soups, and dessert buffet. For reservations, call 610-347-2414.

The Capital Grille, 555 Lancaster Ave., Suite 10, Radnor, opens early for Mother’s Day brunch, with seating available starting at 10 a.m. The restaurant included a “polite notice” on its reservations page stating that “to better deliver on our promise of a refined atmosphere, proper dress is required.” That excludes gym attire, sweatpants, tank tops, hats, clothing with offensive language or images, and exposed undergarments. Iron Hill Brewery: 3 West Gay St., open 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday, May 12 and 13, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Mother's Day, May 14, the special menu includes crab soup, salad, crab cakes, filet mignon, and pound cake. For reservations call, 610-738-9600.

Fogo de Chão, 155 Main St., King of Prussia, is a Brazilian steakhouse offering a ready-to-reheat Mother’s Day Celebration Package that feeds six and features a choice of fire-roasted meats, sides, and desserts.
