Murder In Coatesville Under Investigation
Coatesville police and Chester County detectives are searching for a suspect in the Oct. 20 fatal shooting of 41-year-old Lawrence Hurd.
COATESVILLE, PA — Coatesville police launched an investigation into the Oct. 20 fatal shooting in the 100 block of Rosemont Ave.
At 11:40 p.m. Friday police responded to a shooting at 139-141 Rosemont Ave. Police found Lawrence Hurd, 41, of Coatesville, fatally shot multiple times on a porch.
Suspects who were involved have been identified by law enforcement.

Police believe this was an isolated incident between two individuals who knew each other and had an argument.
“There is no evidence to suggest that there is an ongoing danger to the community,” police said in a statement.
