Musical, First Friday, Fair Offer Chances to 'Let Your Hair Down' this Weekend

The first weekend of August brings several opportunities for kids and parents to let their hair down in and around West Chester.
The weather should cooperate for outdoor activities. After a soaking on Thursday which prompted flash flood watches, the National Weather Service forecast calls for only one weekend night with a chance of thunderstorms.
The Goshen Country Fair runs through Saturday night with extended hours on Saturday.
First Friday in West Chester means downtown stores stay open late and metered parking is free from noon on Friday until Saturday morning. A list of specials being offered at many stores and more details on other First Friday activities can be found on the downtown West Chester website.
Saturday morning features fun for the whole family and a chance to let your hair down with a performance of the musical Rapunzel the musical at West Chester University. The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) in collaboration with West Chester University’s Live Series will present the family musical RAPUNZEL at the Madeleine Wing Adler Theatre of West Chester University. This Saturday, August 3, join a professional cast of performers as they bring to life this tangled tale of fun. Curtain is 10:30 AM. Admission is $10.00 per person.
