No Confirmation From Police On Attempted Abduction Report

West Chester police neither confirmed nor denied a report on social media of an attempted abduction at Bradford Plaza.

WEST BRADFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A report made on social media over the weekend about an attempted abduction at Bradford Plaza was neither confirmed nor denied by West Chester Police, who simply said they are investigating the reports.

The story was told on NextDoor of a young woman being followed around in a dollar store at the plaza just outside West Chester. The post said the man followed the woman out of the store and as she walked to her car she became alarmed as he seemed to move toward her, and she went back into the store. Police were called from inside the store, the post said.

West Chester Borough Police posted on their official Facebook page, "The WCPD is aware of social media posts circulating concerning an incident at Bradford Plaza and an investigation is being conducted."

The police post included a photo that said "Police Investigation." It added, "We remind everyone to always be aware of their surroundings and always report any suspicious activity to your local police department."
