Overturned Vehicle Accident In West Chester Involved DUI: Police

A 20-year-old man was DUI when he overturned his vehicle in West Chester Borough early Wednesday morning, police allege.

WEST CHESTER, PA — An vehicle overturned at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday was driven by a man police allege was driving under the influence.

On June 23, around 2:15 a.m. West Chester Police officers went to the 100 block of Price Street for a reported accident involving an overturned vehicle. After a police investigation, the driver, Alec Bales, 20, of West Chester, was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Underage Possession of Alcohol, Reckless Driving. He was also cited for speeding, the police report showed.

West Chester Borough Police did not report injuries. The police report said Bales was taken to the police station and then released with a summons for a court appearance.
