Philadelphia Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Six Chesco Children

WEST CHESTER, PA —A 27-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested Tuesday on charges of sexually assaulting six nothern Chester County children who were between the ages of six and 17 years old from 2014 to 2017.

Tyleke D. Crawford was returned to Chester County Prison in lieu of $1 million bail after being arraigned before District Judge Nancy Gill in Parkesburg on multiple counts of rape and related charges.

Crawford has been incarcerated since Aug. 29 on charges of possessing child pornography and sexual abuse of children involving other victims.

The investigation is ongoing.

Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan said investigators believe there may be other victims who did not come forward yet.

She encouraged victims to contact the Chester County detective office.

“Tyleke Crawford is a dangerous child predator,” the district attorney said. “He spent years perpetrating devastating abuse against our most vulnerable and innocent children.”

According to Chester County detectives, these are the allegations of the victims:

• Victim 1 told police she was raped by the defendant when she was 12 in the Deer Run Mobile Home Park in Honey Brook Township in the summer of 2014. The victim said she smoked marijuana with the defendant, but declined an offer to take “Ecstasy.”
• Victim 2 told police Crawford sexually assaulted her when she was 15 years in the spring of 2015 in Modena Borough. She also told police that Crawford sent her numerous sexually explicit messages, including naked images of himself, and gave her alcohol, pills, and marijuana on multiple occasions.
• Victim 3 told police when she was 10-years-old Crawford inappropriately touched her in November 2015 in Modena. The defendant told her to keep it a secret and that he “liked” her for a while.
• Victim 4 said Crawford sexually assaulted her when she was 6-years-old in 2017 in Modena Borough Police also discovered images of the victim in the defendant’s Google Cloud account.
• Victim 5 told police Crawford inappropriately touched her private parts in March 2017 in Modena Borough.
• Victim 6 told police that the defendant began to engage in unlawful contact with her when she was 10-years-old. She also said that when she was approximately 14- years-old, the defendant took her to his home in Coatesville and raped her.
