Pizza Delivery Vehicle Left Running Is Taken At E. Bradford Shops

A delivery vehicle was stolen while left running behind a pizza shop Sunday evening, but West Chester police found it and charged a woman.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A pizza delivery driver left his vehicle running in the back of the restaurant for 10 minutes during the dinner hour, and when he came back out, the car was gone, police reported.

West Chester Borough Police reported the vehicle theft that happened Sunday at 6:13 p.m. in the East Bradford Shops on West Neilds Street in East Bradford Township.

The vehicle was reported stolen, and officers stopped the vehicle the next day on Birmingham Road in Birmingham Township, the police report said.

According to police, the driver was Rachel Knight, 32, of Downingtown.

Knight is charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, Unauthorized Use, and Receiving Stolen Property.

A preliminary hearing will be scheduled in Magisterial District Court 15-1-01.
