Police Log: West Chester

WEST CHESTER —A 32-year-old West Chester man was arrested Thursday on charges of assaulting a woman in the 100 block of West Chestnut Street.

Mammele Morgan is free on $5,000 bail after being arraigned before District Judge Mark J. Lieberman in West Chester on charges of strangulation and related charges.

Arrested:

• Ava Cilenti, 26, New York, is awaiting a preliminary hearing after being arraigned on charges of causing a disturbance by banging and yelling on Oct. 21 at a residence in the 100 block of West Chestnut Street.
• Zackary Chapracki, 19, of Downingtown, is awaiting a preliminary hearing after being arraigned on a charge of drunken driving following an Oct. 8 crash in the 900 block of Downingtown Pike.
• Edward C. Grant, 77, of West Chester, is awaiting a preliminary hearing on a charge of defiant trespassing. Police said Grant was found trespassing on Oct. 8 at a business in the first block of East Gay Street where he was previously banned from going inside.
• Nicholas R. Hinds, 20, of West Chester, is awaiting a preliminary hearing on charges of simple assault and harassment. Police said he assaulted a victim at 11:00 a.m. on Oct. 2 in the 100 block of Dean Street
