Police Log: West Chester

WEST CHESTER, PA —These suspects were arrests in West Chester from Dec. 18 to 26 and are awaiting preliminary hearings.

• Joseph Ciardelli, 26, West Chester is free on $10,000 bail awaiting a preliminary hearing on a charge of simple assault. Police said Ciardelli was involved in a disturbance on Dec. 26 in the 100 block of East Chestnut Street, West Chester.
• Jonathan K. McPherson, 58, of Philadelphia, is awaiting a preliminary hearing on charges of defiant trespass. Police said he was found inside the Rice Temple Church on East Gay Street on Dec. 20 after he was repeatedly told he was not allowed in the building.
• Oscar C. Ambre, 54, of Boonsboro, Md., is free on nominal bail on charges of drunken driving and related traffic violations. Police said he was failing to remain in his proper lane while driving in the 700 block of South High Street on Dec. 18.
