Police Log: West Chester Police Arrests Week Jan. 23-30

Police arrested a 32-year-old Coatesville man on weapon and drug charges in downtown West Chester on Friday night, Jan. 27.

WEST CHESTER, PA – Police arrested suspects on charges of manufacturing illegal drugs, weapon offenses, making threats, credit card theft, and related charges in January.

Arrests:

  • Guy Denis, 32, of Coatesville is in Chester County Prison in lieu of $50,000 after being arraigned before District Judge Marian Vito on charges of manufacturing and intending to deliver controlled substances and weapon offenses. Police said Denis had illegal drugs and a firearm in his vehicle at 9:55 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27 in the 400 block of East Minor Street.
  • Stephen F. Hawkins, 41, of West Chester is free on $10,000 after being arraigned before District Judge Marc J. Lieberman on charges of making terroristic threats and harassment. Police said Hawkins created a disturbance in the 300 block of State Tavern Lane at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27.
  • Jacob Dukes, 36, of Mullica Hill, N.J., is free on nominal bail awaiting a preliminary hearing on a charge of drunken driving at 1:23 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 in the 200 block of South Adams Street.
  • Michael Johnson, 42, of Philadelphia, was released from custody in a Philadelphia jail to be extradited to Chester County on Monday, Jan. 30 on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and forgery. Police said Johnson used an East Goshen Township resident's credit card in 2019, according to West-East Goshen Regional Police Department.
