Police Log: Women Arrested In An Early Morning Brawl In West Chester

Suspects are also charged with the theft of a painting, a domestic violence incident; and throwing trash

WEST CHESTER, PA— Two women were arrested early Sunday morning in connection with a fight on the corner of Gay and High streets in downtown West Chester.

Lauren T. Winslow, 28, of Glenmoore and Nayeli Colon, 21, of West Chester were arraigned before District Judge Marian T. Vito on charges of simple assault, public drunkenness and related charges.

Police said the two women assaulted a victim at 2:47 a.m. Sunday on the corner of Gay and High streets.

These suspects were also arrested by West Chester police:

  • Gregory K. Stewart, 36, Coatesville, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Marian Vito on a theft charge. Police said he stole a painting off of the wall of Mas Cantina at 102 E. Market St., West Chester at 12:50 p.m. on Aug. 25.
  • Javon Sampson, 25, of Coatesville, was arrested on charges of simple assault and harassment. Police said Sampson assaulted a male at 2:30 a.m at High and Gay streets in West Chester.
  • Jose Guerra, 29, of West Chester was arrested on Au. 23 on a charges protection-from-abuse order. Police said he violated an order to stay away from a victim on Aug. 23, in the 400 block of Gay Street.
  • John R. Scott, 42, of Paulsboro, N.J. is free on $50,000 bail on aggravated assault and related charges. Police said Scott became irate and began throwing trash in the road when police found him asleep on stairs outside the Farmer’s and Mechanic’s Building, Market and High streets, West Chester. Police arrested Scott after a brief foot pursuit. An officer sustained minor injuries.
