Dill then fled on foot before being arrested by the officer. He then shoved the officer numerous times, and choked him around his neck, restricting his ability to breathe and causing bruising.

Four other officers were called to the scene and took Gill in custody.

Following the sentence, District Attorney Deb Ryan thanked Coatesville police for keeping the community safe.

“Jalin Dill endangered that officer’s life and everyone else in that vicinity during this incident,” Ryan said.
