Police Seek Man Who Punched Woman At Downingtown Pike Roadside
West Chester Police are looking for a man who reportedly punched a woman fleeing from his car on Downingtown Pike Saturday afternoon.
WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester Police are looking for a man they say assaulted a woman trying to get away from his car as it was pulled over on Downingtown Pike Saturday.
A witness reported the incident after they saw a white sedan pulled off the road at the PECO Bradford Substation driveway, just east of the Sugar's Bridge Nature Area and Trail, in the 1000 block of Downingtown Pike, between 1 and 1:15 p.m., according to police.
The witness told police the man appeared to be in his 20s, was white, and of an "average build."

The witness told police there appeared to be an argument going on in the car. A police report of the witness account said a woman in her 20s fled the vehicle and was chased by the man who had been driving the car.
The witness said the man punched the woman in the face, knocking her to the ground, then dragged her back to the vehicle.
