Police, Suspect Exchange Gunfire In West Chester: DA
A man opened fire on police during an incident Sunday, authorities said.

WEST CHESTER, PA — Police exchanged gunfire with a suspect undergoing a mental health crisis in West Chester on Sunday afternoon, ultimately leading to his arrest, authorities said.
No one was struck the shots, which were fired both by the suspect and by police.
The incident occurred at around 2:50 p.m. on the 50 block of South Church Street.

The suspect, who has not yet been publicly identified by police, was taken into custody by 3:55 p.m.
Chester County Detectives are investigating the incident, as they do anytime police open fire. West Chester police said they are cooperating and are grateful for the assistance.
