Public Drunkenness Leads to Pot Bust

A public drunkenness stop turned into an arrest for marijuana possession, according to a release to the West Chester Police Department.

According to reports, police responded to a call regarding public drunkenness near Beech Alley. Officers found a 20-year-old Philadelphia man in the area who matched the description on the call.  The man was placed into custody and, upon search, was found to be in procession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

A preliminary hearing for charges is pending, according to police.
