Revoke Bam Margera's Bail: Chesco Prosecutor Requests

The request to revoke bail is in response to Margera's being cited in Radnor Township for public drunkeness.

WEST CHESTER, PA —Bam Margera faces a hearing Thursday on a request to revoke his bail in an assault case in the wake of the former "Jackass" star being cited for causing a disturbance at 4:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Radnor Hotel.

Chester County Judge Patrick Carmody scheduled a hearing on a request by Assistant District Attorney Zachary Yurick to revoke bail, noting that Margera was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

Radnor police said that they were patrolling the area on Aug. 9 when they saw Margera arguing with a woman in a parking lot and slurring his speech. Margera was then taken to the police station to calm down and sober up.

The Radnor incident was two weeks after District Judge Albert Iacocca agreed to allow Margera to remain free on $50,000 bail, in an unrelated assault case involving a fight with his brothers, Jesse.

Margera was held for court on July 27 on charges of simple assault and making terroristic threat in connection with a physical altercation at Margera's Chester County home, known as Castle Bam, in the 400 block of Hickory Hill Road, Pocopson Township.

Iacocca told Margera that his bail could be revoked if he does not comply with the rules and get a drug-and-alcohol test at the Recovery Center of America, Devon.

Margera got the test done and was living in Chester County waiting for his trial.

Michael T. van der Veen, Margera's Philadelphia lawyer, previously said his client was working on his sobriety and was taking it "day-by-day." He was not available for comment Tuesday.
