WEST CHESTER, PA —A 45-year-old Coatesville man was convicted by a jury in Chester County Justice Center of sexually abusing a young girl in 2020, prosecutors said Wednesday.

Ricardo Reza-Ojeda is in Chester County Prison without bail after being convicted of aggravated indecent assault of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, endangering the welfare of a child, and related charges. He will be sentenced at a later date.

District Attorney Deb Ryan said Reza-Ojeda told the child that if she told anyone of the sex acts that the police would take her away, causing the victim to distrust law enforcement.
