A free shredding and electronic recycling event at West Chester Municipal Building brings in a staggering amount.
West Chester's sixth annual free shredding and e-cycling event filled the parking lot at Borough Hall with tons of recycling.

When it was over at 1 p.m. the shredding truck operator told Patch he had put two-and-a-half tons of paper through the on board industrial shredder.
E-Cycling of Philadelphia filled nearly two huge trucks with anything with a plug. E-cycle sends the material to a plant where monitors. computers, TV's, toasters, and anything else with a plug are taken apart and sold for scrap or melted down.
