Tuesday

11:15 a.m. Chesterbrook Academy in West Chester will present a donation to a representative and an athlete from the Special Olympics at Chesterbrook’s ninth annual Field Day Celebration.

The funds were raised by 350 preschool and elementary summer campers at Chesterbrook Academy locations in West Chester, Malvern, Newton Square, Exton and Chadds Ford. The money was raised over a three-week period. During the event, students will be rewarded for their hard work to raise awareness and acceptance for children with disabilities. The celebration will feature fun contests and games, as well as a DJ, waterslides and a dunk tank for campers and camp counselors. This year, campers from the schools collectively raised more than $2,000 for the Special Olympics.
