Sports Illustrated Airs Documentary On Chesco HS Basketball
A Sports Illustrated documentary on Chester County high school basketball and future NBA stars is now airing.

WESTTOWN, PA — A Sports Illustrated documentary on Chester County high school basketball and future NBA stars, "We Town," is now airing.
The story behind why stars Cam Reddish and Mo Bamba chose West Chester's Westtown School to launch their highly-scrutinized careers is the subject of the documentary.
"'We Town' is the flip side of 'Hoop Dreams' and so many other high school basketball films because these kids aren't coming from the streets or from dire circumstances," said Triple Threat TV's Gary Cohen, who is helping to produce the film. "These are accomplished kids who will succeed with or without basketball in their lives, but who are still motivated to ball at the highest level."

Last year, the duo combined to form one of the most lethal one-two prep punches in the nation.
The documentary follows how Bamba and Reddish were drawn to Coach Seth Berger, and focuses on their search for a state title last year while also "navigating the bumpy path from boys to men." According to producers: "As Berger guides his team towards the dream of back-to-back state titles, the coach and his athletes must stick together despite apathy from the stars, family tension between Berger and his son on the team, and the inevitable disruption from the parade of recruiters and opportunists hustling in the wake of the world-class talent."
"It's an extraordinary environment that Coach Seth Berger has created," Cohen said. "And we get to share it with the world."
Westtown School is a highly rated Quaker boarding school, located on 975 Westtown Road.
