St. Patrick's Day Celebrations This Weekend In West Chester Area

PennDOT warns motorists not to drive under the influence of alcohol when celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

WEST CHESTER, PA— Entertainment districts in West Chester will be swimming in Kelly green, and perhaps flashing red and blue lights if people don’t behave themselves.

While the local festivities have already started today, there's still plenty of time to get in on the fun.

  • St. Patrick's Day at Kildare's Irish Pub: 18 W. Gay St.: 7 .m. Friday, March 17 to 2 .m. Saturday, March 18, The Malarkey Brothers and the John Byrne Band.
  • VK's St.Patrick's Day Bash, 192 Route 352, Glenn Mills, FunZaLuc, rocking out.
  • St. Patrick's Day with Shot of Southern live at Timothy's, 7 p.m. Friday, March 17.
  • Pietro's Prime, 125 W. Market St., West Chester 8 p.m. Saturday, March 18, Bad Hombes.
  • The Shenanigan! 119 S. Main St., Phoenixville: 8 p.m. Friday, Hot Rocks; 7 pm. Saturday, The Soundbank; Saturday,
  • Vibe Valt Fit St. Patrick’s Day Vibe Dance: 633 N. Pottstown Pike, Exton. 9:30 a.m Saturday, dance party.
  • St. Patrick's Day Exhibition, 64 S. Washington St., Boyertown, Colebrookdale Railroad, 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 17, ride the train and enjoy a three-course Irish meal while listening to bagpipes. (three-hour event)

During the 2022 St. Patrick's Day holiday weekend from March 11, 2022, through 6:00 a.m. March 20, 2022, there were 313 crashes statewide involving an impaired driver, resulting in four fatalities, according to preliminary PennDOT data.

Pennsylvania State Police and municipal police departments statewide conduct high visibility enforcement details such as roving patrols and sobriety checkpoints throughout the campaign, which started March 10 and concludes March 19.

Law enforcement agencies throughout the state actively participate in enforcement activities geared at deterring impaired drivers from getting behind the wheel and discouraging aggressive driving behaviors.
