Stealing Tips For Trashmen Results In Arrest Of Chesco Duo: Police
A Coatesville man and woman were arrested on charges of stealing tips on trash cans in East Goshen Township on Dec. 20, police said.
EAST GOSHEN, PA —A Coatesville man and woman were arrested on charges of stealing envelopes labeled “Trashmen” containing tips and gift cards that were for taped by homeowners for sanitation workers in East Goshen Township.
Adam Thompson, 35, is in Chester County Prison Thursday in lieu of $2,500 awaiting a preliminary hearing on charges of theft and receiving stolen property.
Anne Farrelly, 33, is free on $1,500 bail also awaiting a hearing on charges of theft and receiving stolen property.

According to Westtown-East Goshen Regional police:
- Police observed a vehicle driving slowly around the area of Tanglewood Drive and Mayapple Lane at 2 a.m. Dec. Dec. 20.
- During a traffic stop, the officers saw envelopes labeled “Trashmen” with cash and gift cards on the seat.
- The two were arrested and transported to Chester County Prison.
