NEW GARDEN TOWNSHIP, PA - A stolen semi-automatic pistol was found during a traffic stop in New Garden, authorities said.

At around 11:45 p.m. on March 1, a Southern Chester County Regional police officer conducted a traffic stop on vehicle speeding so fast it went airborne in the 1500 block of Newark Road, police said.

Upon the discovery of the driver’s - identified as Victor Paskings-Woodward - suspended license, officers patted down Paskings-Woodward and found a hard metal object in his pants.

Paskings-Woodward struggled to push officers out of his way and attempted to run, though he was detained by officers soon after. Officers subsequently removed a black Smith & Wesson 9mm semi-automatic pistol.

The firearm was later revealed to be stolen out of East Fallowfield Township, and was loaded with 8 full metal jacket rounds and an additional round in the chamber, police said.

No officers were injured in the incident. Paskings-Woodward was transported to Chester County prison.
