Stolen Vehicle Arrest in Chesco Results In Weapons Seizure: Police

Police also arrested suspects in Chester County on charges of aggravated assault, retail theft, and drunken driving.

CHESTER COUNTY—A 39-year-old Philadelphia man is accused of having three stolen weapons and counterfeit cash while driving a stolen vehicle on Aug. 28 in Westtown Township.

Brenon Underwood in Chester County Prison in lieu of $25,000 on charges of making terrorist threats, receiving stolen property, and driving with a revoked license.

Brennon was stopped driving a stolen vehicle at 8 a.m. in the 1500 block of West Chester Pike, Westtown Township, according to Westtown-East Goshen Regional police.

During a search of the vehicle, police said, they found three stolen firearms that were loaded and ready to fire. They also found counterfeit money and other rounds of ammunition.

  • David Young, 47, of West Chester, was arrested on Aug. 12 on a charge of retail theft. West Chester police said he stole items from Giant Food Store, Downingtown Pike.
  • Eliot D. Dalton, 38, of West Chester, was arrested on Aug. 4 on charges of retail theft. West Chester police said he stole items from Giant Food Store, Downingtown Pike. on Aug. 6.
  • Jason Darnell, 48, of Blue Bell, is free on bail awaiting a hearing on charges of drunken driving and traffic violations. Oxford police said Darnell was impaired and failed to stop at a red light and Third and Market streets in Oxford on Aug. 6.
  • Richard T. Harkless, 40, of Parkesburg is in Chester County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail on charges of aggravated assault and related offenses following a domestic dispute on Aug. 28 in the 300 block of Main Street, Parkesburg, police said.
