Streets Under Water, Closed In West Chester Borough

Streets are closed in West Chester Borough Thursday afternoon, under water in flash flooding.

WEST CHESTER, PA — Street were underwater and closed on Thursday afternoon in West Chester Borough, according to emergency management officials.

Public Information Officer for the Borough's Emergency Management Dave March posted on social media at 1:24 p.m. that the following streets were closed due to flooding:

Barnard Street at Matlack Street.

Adams Street at Market Street.

South Franklin Street at Linden Street.

East Chestnut Street at Stadium Alley, West Chester Borough, is closed due to flooding on Montgomery Avenue.

Also, Montgomery Avenue between Gay Street and East Washington Street in West Goshen Township is closed.

"Avoid the area," the post said.
