Suspect Flees On Motorized Scooter In Kennett Square: Police
Police issued a warrant for the arrest of a Delaware man who failed to appear for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 6.

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — A warrant for arrest was issued Monday for a 37-year-old Delaware man who failed to appear in court on Sept. 6 for a hearing on charges related to fleeing from police in May on a motorized scooter.
Police said Matthew McDermott did not show up for his preliminary hearing scheduled before Judge Albert Iacocca in Kennett Square.
Police said McDermott, of Newark, drove away on his scooter at 8:30 p.m. May 21 when police attempted to stop him in the 200 block of Birch Street for driving a scooter without a tag.
