Two Charged In Theft Of Red Impala From Parking Lot

Police said surveillance video led them to two men who stole a Chevy Impala from a parking lot in New Garden Township.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Two men were suspected by police of stealing a red Chevrolet Impala from a parking lot in New Garden Township, and both have been charged.

On Aug. 29 police responded to a reported vehicle theft in the 1400 block of Baltimore Pike, just after 6 p.m.

Southern Chester County Regional Police used video surveillance to identify two suspects, Eric Kalb and Matthew Robert Gilger. Kalb was taken into custody on Sept. 14 and charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Police continued to search for Gilger and on Sept.21 he also was found and charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, police said.

Police reported the vehicle has since been recovered.
