“This recognition from Healthgrades represents the hard work the hospital's care teams, medical staff and nurses do each day to be the leading provider of care in the region,” Carli Meister, director of patient experience and risk, said Monday.
Meiser said the hospital staff is thrilled that it was recognized for its commitment to patient and family-centered care, as well as how each and every team member demonstrates dedication to our service values on a daily basis.”
Paoli Hospital also won awards for excellence in stroke care.
Jim Paradis, hospital president, said the award for patient experience in stroke care is not a surprise.
“When patients come through our doors, we want them to know that they are not merely a number in the system,” Paradis said.
“I’m proud of our entire Paoli team for making sure patients know they are in a caring environment.”
Montgomery County Hospitals
Lankenau also received America's 50 Best Hospitals and Cardiac Surgery awards, and America’s 100 best cardiac care and pulmonary care excellence awards.
“The patient experience award is truly meaningful,” Phillip Robinson, Lankenau president, said. “I am proud of our distinction as among the top 50 hospitals in the country overall and of the recognition of our elite cardiac care. But being honored for outstanding patient experience is a distinction that belongs to every single person working at Lankenau. It takes a group effort to ensure patients have a great experience, and the award is validation of our team’s efforts.”
For Bryn Mawr, the patient experience award comes in addition to earlier recognition for joint replacement, pulmonary and surgical care.
“At Bryn Mawr and throughout Main Line Health, we emphasize the importance of treating patients as we would want to be treated,” John Schwarz, Bryn Mawr Hospital president, said.
“We focus on this consistently and the results speak for themselves. It is a credit to our clinicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, technologists and staff members.”
